Father James and Family final service at St. Barnabas and Reception
August 3, 2008 - American Sunday
As always at St. Barnabas - traditions matter - The Canadian and American flags were carried into the church as we sang the anthems for both countries. We were also treated to a concert by The Lakeside Singers, a local group of talented vocalists who rehearse together throughout the year. Many of the members are also members of St. Barnabas Church. The homily was delivered by W. Page Dame, III, a member of St. Barnabas and a resident of North Hatley whose family have been a part of the fabric of North Hatley for many generations. Click Here for the text of Page's wonderful talk. Thank you to all who participated in our Sunday morning service with special thanks to the Lakeside Singers, Page Dame, and Janet Bennett who supervised the reception following the service. Thank you, too, to all who baked and made sandwiches.

Sunday, July 27, 2008

Thank you to Rev. Robin Guiness and to Sandra Guiness for accepting our invitation to preach on Sunday, July 27, 2008. A record congregation turned out to meet, greet and listen to Robin.
Thank you to all who helped provide a luncheon reception following
the service. Also, a grateful thank you, too, to all who joined us for this very joyful service.

June 8, 2008 - Sunday School closing picnic

And a good time was had by all. A delicious lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers and a banana cake that was almost swallowed whole (thank you Roseanne Toohey) and thank you to Peter Provencher for flipping the burgers. Enjoy the summer!
